✨✧ Young-Holt UnlimitedBest Of Young-Holt Unlimited ... CD
Brunswick, Late 60s. Used ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Very nicely done compilation of tracks by this groovy instrumental combo from Chicago! The team of Eldee Young and Redd Holt first came to prominence as Ramsey Lewis' funky rhythm section on his hit jazz sides for Chess – but by the mid 60s, they'd spun off into their own group and had a lively career recording funky jazzy instrumentals for Brunswick. This set includes a dozen tracks – with some nice tight live material that includes "Ain't There Something Money Can't Buy" and "The In Crowd" – plus grooviers studio tracks like "Soulful Strut" (their big sample cut), "Wack Wack", "Give It Up", "Dig Her Walk", "Yon Gimme Thum", and a groovy take on "Light My Fire" that was also sampled at least once!
