Marlene's look on the cover might give you an idea of the sound of the set – a vibe that's maybe more 80s soul than some of her previous records, although still with a bit of fusion touches around the edges! Marlene never caught much attention on these shores, save for a rare project with Seawind – but she's a singer who works in English throughout, despite the Japanese release of the album – and the songs here are all pretty catchy and tuneful, a bit like the sort of soul that Deniece Williams was turning out at the time!
