✨✧ ClipseLord Willin' ... LP
Star Trak/Arista, 2002. Very Good 2LP ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A neo-electro/drug rap/crossover hip hop classic produced by the Neptunes, and the debut LP on their own Star Trak label. Malice and Pusha T are smooth, confident rhymers with some stand-out moments, but the Neptunes are driving this train, much in the way Prince Paul commandeered early De La Soul productions. Like Paul, The Neptunes' fingerprints are evident on just about every second of every track, but it doesn't diminish the role of the rappers in the least. This is a true hip hop record from beginning to end, something the 'Tunes had shied away from around the same time with the hard rockin' NERD. Their production style saturated pop music at the time, but this may be the Neptunes first album-length masterpiece. Tracks include "Young Boy", "Ma, I Don't Love Her" featuring Faith Evans, "Ego", "Comedy Central" featuring Fabulous, "Gangsta Lean", "Let's Talk About It" featuring Jermaine Dupri, and more. Includes exclusive "Grindin'" remixes. LP, Vinyl record album
(Original white label promo, including the insert. Back cover has a promo stamp.)

✨✧ Mos DefSex, Love & Money (radio, inst, LP)/Ghetto Rock (radio, inst, LP) ... 12-inch
Geffen, 2004. Near Mint- ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Two great tracks that show that Mos is tip-top form when he wants to hip hop – even though they come from an album that in many ways steers clear of straight hip hop! "Sex, Love & Money" finds Mos laying back, rolling, and scatting off the wordplay with a cool presence – commanding the track with confidence and a sly subtlety. The beats by Warryn Campbell leave room for a great flute line on the beat. "Ghetto Rock" is not what you'd expect – r.e. the "Rock & Roll" track from Black On Both Sides. It's another sly track, with hazy psych beats and echoey vocals, produced by Minnesota. These two tracks comprise the the best of the hip hop tracks from the wildly diverse New Danger LP. 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Notorious BIGGreatest Hits (2018 Record Store Crawl Exclusive – on colored vinyl) ... LP
Bad Boy, 1990s. New Copy 2LP ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A strong batch of classic Notorious BIG! Greatest Hits took some hits upon release for falling short of being the single definitive statment on Biggie's tragically short career that you might expect from the title, but history has been a little more kind to it, as it should be – really is a solid select anthology, if not literally "the greatest hits" – with "Juicy", "Big Poppa", "Hypnotize", "One More Chance/Stay With Me (Remix)", "Dead Wrong" with Eminem, "Who Shot Ya", "Ten Crack Commandments", "Notorious Thugs" with Bone Thugs & Harmony, "Unbelievable", "N***as Bleed" and more. 17 tracks in all. LP, Vinyl record album
(Indie store exclusive on transluscent red colored vinyl.)
