✨✧ OfegeHow Do You Feel (180 gram pressing) ... LP
Polydor/Tidal Waves, 1978. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
The fourth and final album from Ofege – and a set that shows the Nigerian group still very much at the top of their game – soaring out on fast funk rhythms that often echo American styles of the time, but with a lot more edge – and produced with all these cool trippy touches around the edges, which serve to fold together the musical elements in a really unique way! The vibe is different than both the larger Afro Funk combos of the period, and some of the crossover disco/boogie that was beginning to come into the mix – very standout, very unique work that really sets the group apart from the rest. Titles include "Burning Jungle", "World In Peace", "How Do You Feel", "Nature Queen", "Naira Power", "Take Your Mind Away", "Check It Out", and "Frustration". LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited to 500 copies.)
Also available How Do You Feel (white vinyl pressing) ... LP 27.99

Chief Stephen Osita OsadebeOsondi Owendi (with bonus download) ... LP
Polydor/Hive Mind (UK), 1984. New Copy (reissue)... $26.99
A Nigerian album issued in the 80s, but one with a spare, solid sound that's instantly timeless – thanks to long tunes that build strongly from basslines and percussion, then layer great guitar and lyrics over the top – but all with this organic flowing vibe that's totally great! The music is much rootsier than many of the contemporaries of Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe – and the guitar has this rasp that's a nice change from some of the too-clean production that was being used a lot more often in West Africa during the 80s. Side two features the extended "Nigeria Kanyi Jikota", and side one features "Osondi Owendi" and "Ndida Kanma". LP, Vinyl record album
