Roy CWe're On The Road To Hell/Since God Made A Woman ... 7-inch
Alaga, 1973. Very Good+ ... Just Sold Out!
Two excellent early cuts by Roy C! They both have great songwriting, and a mellow southern-styled vocal that's very nice. In the tradition of his work for Mercury, but much rawer, and nicer. 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ General CrookGimme Some (parts 1 & 2) ... 7-inch
Down To Earth, Late 60s. Near Mint- ... Just Sold Out!
Very nice funky stuff! This may be the best single ever by this lost Chicago funk artist. It's got a great hard groove, in a very James Brown way, and raw heavy lyrics in the best funky 45 tradition. 7-inch, Vinyl record

Guys & DollsChinatown/Could This Be Love ... 7-inch
Karol, 1970. Very Good ... $4.99
One of our favorite ever singles from Chicago! "Chinatown" is a hilarous (and slightly racist) soul track about the asian community, with some great fake "Chinese" singing. Very much in the tradition of tracks like "Ling Ting Tong"! 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ ParliamentsNew Day Begins/I'll Wait (Atco) ... 7-inch
Atco, 1969. Very Good+ ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Beautiful soul from George Clinton! Recorded years before the band's first album, but with a rich heavy sound that mixes the Detroit harmony tradition with fuzzier tripped-out soul arrangements – for a great sound that still sounds really beautiful today. Excellent harmony parts, too! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Mono white label promo. Label has a light smudge.)

✨✧ CODsI'm A Good Guy/Pretty Baby ... 7-inch
Kellmac, 1965. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
Excellent soul from one of the lesser-known groups on the Chicago scene! "I'm A Good Guy" is a rollicking uptempo harmony number, in the best tradition of the group work on the One-Der-Ful labels. "Pretty Baby" is even better – with a stepping style that's nicely similar to "Elephant Walk", and with some harmony vocals that are raw and over the top! 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Larry & The HippiesGimme Some Of Yours/Enough For Everybody ... 7-inch
Toddlin Town, Late 60s. Good ... Out Of Stock
Great instrumental groovers in the best Toddlin' Town tradition! "Gimme Some Of Yours" has a wangly funky guitar sound, with some wiggly notes, a choppy woodblock, and a very groovy solo in the middle – all laid out over some hard snapping beats that are really nice! "Enough for Everybody" is more of an Atlantic-style soul instrumental, but with a nice hard sound to it. 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ PrinceI Would Die 4 U/Another Lonely Christmas ... 7-inch
Warner, 1984. Near Mint- (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
One of our favorite tracks ever from Prince – an instantly funky, instantly catchy tune that never fails to blow us away with its dexterity! The jam sounds great, even after all these years – and it's backed by a non-LP cut, "Another Lonely Christmas" – in which Prince almost single-handedly revives the Holiday soul single tradition for the 80s generation! 7-inch, Vinyl record
