Gal Costa sings the best of Antonio Carlos Jobim – working here with a really sparkling sound in a live performance that covers the space of two CDs! The backing is by a very nice little jazz group, and Gal's at her best later styles here – hitting nice jazzy vocal passages, and singing freely without any clunky arrangements to hold her back. Cristovao Bastos leads the group and handled the arrangements – and he's as great as ever in this top-shelf setting – sophisticated, but nicely swinging – in a way that really keeps things fresh.
