Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band do "Wrecking Ball" live at Giants Stadium and "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" live featuring Tom Morello. 12-inch, Vinyl record
A very cool early EP from The Animals – the group's second in this format, and never originally issued in the US! The group are at their young, gritty best here – with lots of bluesy currents in the music, thanks to Alan Price on Hammond – topped with soulful vocals from the mighty Eric Burdon, who never fails to blow us away. Titles include the great "I'm Mad Again", plus "Bury My Body", "She Said Yeah", and "I'm In Love". 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Limited 2015 RSD issue. Cover has a small round sticker in front.)
A really great remake of the Brazilian classic "O Ronco Da Cuica" – presented here with vocals from original writer/singer Joao Bosco – and done in a stretched-out, very jazzy take that runs for over nine minutes! Dudu Lima brings in plenty of bass, next to piano, percussion, and drums from Ivan Mamao Conti of Azymuth – and then the flipside features a great track that just has Dudu on bass and Joao Bosco on vocals and acoustic guitar! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(2022 RSD pressing – still sealed with hype sticker.)
Outkast's first single from Aquemini – one of the great southern hip hop singles of the late 90s and an important creative benchmark for Big Boi, Andre 3000 and Organized Noize however you might feel about their use of the civil rights heroine's name! As fresh, soulful & uniquely Outkast today as ever. 12-inch, Vinyl record
A very cool colored vinyl single – one that presents a limited issue of two tracks from the just-uncovered Both Directions At Once sessions by the John Coltrane quartet in 1963! The single features the great "Untitled Original 11383" – a song with a terrible name, but a really great sound – and the first new song uncovered in years by the group. It also features a very early take of "Impressions" – shorter and tighter than the more famous one! 12-inch, Vinyl record
