✨✧ RadioheadKid A ... CD
Capitol, 2000. Used ... Out Of Stock
One of Radiohead's greatest albums, and probably our favorite – where they boldly dove into stranger, more deeply atmosheric moodcraft than anything they'd released to date! Their follow-up to OK Computer, which was an instant classic for the band, graced with lofty songwriting and impactful lyrics, Kid A is a stunning departure – embracing electronic textures and murky effects over anthemic guitar rock. Any record that achieves the kind of popular success as this one without comprising on the creativity is to be cherished – it's a rare achievement! Includes "Everything In Its Right Place", "How To Disappear Completely", "In Limbo", "Idioteque", "Morning Bell", "Motion Picture Soundtrack", "The National Anthem" and more. CD

✨✧ RadioheadKid A Mnesia (Kid A/Amnesiac – with bonus tracks) (3CD set) ... CD
XL, Early 2000s. New Copy 3CD ... Out Of Stock
A massive package of music – a special set that brings together both the Kid A and Amnesiac, as well as a full record's worth of unreleased tracks! The lead albums need no introduction from us – as they're modern-day classics that really established the genius of the group in mainstream rock – but we can say that the extra material is a mighty nice addition, served up here as a special album titled Kid Amnesiae – with an obvious pun on the title of both! Titles on that release include three "Untitled" tracks – plus "How To Disappear Into Strings", "Pulk/Pull (true love waits version)", "Follow Me Around", "Say The Word", "Like Spinning Plates (why us version)", "Morning Bell (in the dark version)", "Fog (again again version)", and "Pyramid Strings". Flying LotusUntil The Quiet Comes (plus download) ... LP
Warp, 2012. New Copy 2LP ... $27.99 29.99
The best yet from Flying Lotus – who we keep allowing ourselves to believe has hit an insurmountable peak with each new record – but he just keeps getting better! Where the preceding Cosmogramma upped the stranger, spacier and more abstract textures, Until The Quiet Comes is a bit more inviting – and to his credit, Flying Lotus keeps things as innovative as ever, while still giving this one just a bit more immediately appealing atmosphere. There's nearly always a compelling beat, whether it's abstract boom bap or bubbly and synthy, with heavy bass and thick waves of sound floating over. An incredible roster of guests contribute, too – including string-arranger Miguel Atwood Ferguson, vocalists Erykah Badu, Laura Darlington and Radiohead's Thom Yorke, keyboardist Dorian Concept, and others – but there's little doubt that this is purely the Flying Lotus show. Greatness! Titles include "All In", "Sultan's Request", "See Thru To U" with Erykah Badu, "DMT Song" with Thundercat, "The Nightcaller", "Only If You Wanna", "Electric Candyman" with Thom Yorke, "Hunger" with Niki Randa, "Phantasm" with Laura Darlington, "Dream To Me" and more.
