Early work from PattiLabelle and The Bluebelles – simple girl group stuff mostly, but with a raw quality to the vocals that's quite nice! 7-inch, Vinyl record
Includes "I Sold My Heart To The Junkman", "You'll Never Walk Alone", "Where Are You", "Down The Aisle", "Tear After Tear", "Danny Boy", "Have I Sinned", "C'est La Vie (You Never Can Tell)", "One Phone Call", and "I Believe". LP, Vinyl record album
One of a number of 70s repackagings of PattiLabelle's early work with The Bluebelles – done, in this instance, to appear to be a collection of work by then supergroup Labelle! The cover's got Patti in a 70s silvery outfit – but the work is all early 60s girl group soul, mostly early singles from the start of Patti's work with The Bluebelles. Titles include "I Sold My Heart to The Junkman", "Where Are You", "Down The Aisle", "Tear After Tear", "Have I Sinned", "One Phone Call", and "Impossible". LP, Vinyl record album

PattiLabelle & The Bluebelles —
Dreamer ... LP Atlantic, Mid 60s. Very Good+ ...
Temporarily Out Of Stock
Probably the best early album that PattiLabelle ever recorded – and one that pushes way past the mix of girl group and pop material she'd been handling previously. The record begins with the killer cut "Dreamer", written by Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham – then it moves into a host of great lesser-known tracks and mature compositions, like Curtis Mayfield's "I'm Still Waiting", and the tunes "One Phone Call", "Take Me For A Little While", "Tender Words", "Don't Want To Go On Without You", and Burt Bacharach's great "Always Something There To Remind Me". LP, Vinyl record album
(Stereo green & blue label pressing. Cover looks great!)
