Led ZeppelinBBC Sessions ... CD
Atlantic, Late 60s/Early 70s. Used 2 CDs ... $6.99
A massive collection of genius from Led Zeppelin – and material that has gone onto become a crucial part of their all-too-small catalog over the years! The work here was all recorded for the BBC in the years 1969 through 1971 – offering up a much wider picture of the group during these formative years, handled by some top-shelf production – which makes these tracks way better than some of the bootlegs and demos that fans had to rely on before these sides hit the record racks. Led ZeppelinCoda ... CD
Swan Song, 1982. Used ... $3.99
The title's an apt one – given that the record was the end of the tremendous run of records from Led Zeppelin – issued after the death of legendary drummer John Bomham – but the set's also way more than just an endpoint, as many of the tracks return to the group's beginning – and bring back unheard sounds from early 70s sessions! There's a nice criss-crossing of styles here – from the rawness of the earliest records, to the refined complexity of the mid 70s – and the album's way more than just an afterthought to the catalog – and is filled with great cuts that include the Bonham showpiece "Bonzo's Montreux", plus "We're Gonna Groove", "Poor Tom", "I Can't Quit You Baby". "Wearing And Tearing", and "Ozone Baby". CD
(Booklet has some light staining.)

Led ZeppelinHouses Of The Holy ... LP
Atlantic, 1973. Very Good Gatefold ... $16.99
Led Zeppelin at peak power – mixing hard rock bombast with deep, genuine love for blues and folk guitars! Houses Of The Holy is the essential the blueprint for countless imitators to come – but it's also got smarts, subtleties and creative ambitious that's just plain lost on the watered wannabes that floated up in Zeppelin's wake. Titles include "The Crunge", "Over The Hills & Far Away", "The Song Remains The Same", "The Rain Song", "Dancing Days", "Dyer Maker", "No Quarter", and "The Ocean". LP, Vinyl record album
(Red and green Rockefeller label pressing, SD 19130, including the heavy inner sleeve. Cover has light wear and a small sticker on the spine.)

✨✧ Led ZeppelinIn Through The Out Door ... LP
Swan Song/Atlantic, 1979. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Led Zeppelin's final album of the 70s – a record that really has them stretching out and trying on some new ideas, yet still holding onto all their genius in the process! Sure, the album's maybe not as iconic as the first few – but from the perspective of decades later, it's a killer – and still blows away just about all the competition – with that Plant/Page magic that still comes through brilliantly, no matter what the setting. There's a few unusual twists and turns – a bit of Latin here, a slight keyboard there – but overall the main focus is still on the lead duo, getting plenty of heavy drums to keep things moving. Titles include the hits "Fool In The Rain" and "All My Love" – plus "In The Evening", "South Bound Suarez", "Carouselambra", and "I'm Gonna Crawl". LP, Vinyl record album
(In cover variant "C", including the inner sleeve and outer bag!)

✨✧ Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin ... LP
Atlantic, 1969. Very Good ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
One of the most monumental debuts in rock history – a record that hit the world like a led zeppelin, and left an impression for years to come! Led Zeppelin pretty much took over rock right from the beginning – which isn't too surprising, given that Jimmy Page had an in-demand guitar heavy for years already – but the power of this debut is still astonishing after all these years – a blistering blend of bluesy roots, psych fuzz, and razor-sharp instrumental dexterity! The whole thing's a gem – and titles include "Good Times Bad Times", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" "You Shook Me", "Dazed And Confused", "Your Time Is Gonna Come", "Black Mountain Side", and "I Can't Quit You Baby". ✨✧ Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin III ... LP
Atlantic, 1970. Near Mint- Gatefold ... $34.99
The third in Led Zeppelin's spectacular run of early albums – each one either matching or topping its predecessor, depending on one's personal favorite – and a record with an influence that's as massive as the sound! The record's got a pair of of Zep's best-remembered songs in "Immigrant Song" and their take on the traditional "Gallows Pole", but the whole thing is great – and a great balance of their earlier bombast with a lot more acoustic moments. Other tracks include "Friends", "Celebration Day", "Tangerine" and "Hats Off (To Roy Harper)". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin IV ... CD
Atlantic, 1971. Used ... Out Of Stock
Hard rock perfected! It's around Led Zeppelin IV that you can easily say that the group moved up from being incredibly great to flat-out legendary – really in a class by themselves, although maybe they'd already reached that point with the sublime sounds of the previous three records! There's a darkness here – and a sense of magick too – an eerie new energy that still has all the balls-out rock power of before, but which has the group moving into this heady territory that's really all their own. Every song is a classic – and tracks include "Black Dog", "Stairway To Heaven", "Rock And Roll", "Misty Mountain Hop", "When The Levee Breaks", "Going To California", "Four Sticks", and "Battle Of Evermore". ✨✧ Led ZeppelinPhysical Graffiti ... LP
Swan Song/Atlantic, 1975. Very Good+ 2LP ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Led Zeppelin at their most sprawling – in both ambition and in the pacing – on the gargantuan Physical Graffiti! This is the album where they started bringing some odd synth textures to the sound, and it's to Zeppelin's eternal credit that this doesn't compromise their blues-reverent hard rock one bit! There's no better Zeppelin album when it comes to giving the fans what they want, while chasing the band's adventurous muses at the same time. Includes the classics "Kashmir", "Custard Pie", "Houses Of The Holy", "In The Light", "Ten Years Gone", "Boogie With Stu", "Sick Again" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(US Swan Song pressing with PR and AT etch, in the die-cut cover, including the heavy inner sleeves and insert. Cover has an unglued seam and some wear on a few of the die-cut windows.)

Led ZeppelinSong Remains The Same ... CD
Swan Song/Warner, 1976. Used 2 CDs ... $6.99
A live album, but one that's every bit as essential to the Led Zeppelin catalog as any of their studio albums from the 70s! In fact, the album may well be more important on its own – as it marked a real high point for the double-length live album in rock music – not just because it features lavish packaging and great presentation – but also because, like the film, it's filled with really long, unusual takes of the group's classics – most of which diverge very strongly from their studio versions! The real highlight here is the set's classic "Moby Dick", which features one of the greatest drum solos ever set to wax – and other tunes include "Rain Song", "Whole Lotta Love", "Stairway To Heaven", "No Quarter", and "Dazed & Confused". Black SabbathTechnical Ecstasy ... CD
Warner, 1976. Used ... $6.99
The cover here looks a bit slicker than some of the other Black Sabbath albums of the 70s – but the sound is anything but, and still flies the flag of all the greatness the group had to offer! The set was recorded at the famous Criteria Studios in Miami – home to some great soul sessions in the early part of the decade – and Tommy Iommi gives the band a sharp edge in the studio, bringing the guitars up and Ozzy's vocals into a nice sort of focus – reminding the world that Sabbath can still kick the ass of newcomers like AC/DC when needed. And like late 70s material by Led Zeppelin, which some purists of the time tend to dismiss – from the backward perspective of 40 years, the album sounds pretty darn great to our ears! Titles include "She's Gone", "Dirty Women", "It's Alright", "Gypsy", "Back Street Kids", "You Won't Change Me", and "All Moving Parts". CD

✨✧ PlusNo Pisar (with bonus 7 inch) ... LP
Svart (Finland), 1976. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
Not the funky European group of the same name from the 70s – but an even more obscure hard rock quartet from Buenos Aires – and one who perform here with a non-stop sound that's completely wonderful! These guys have clearly drunk deep of the Anglo world of hard rock – particularly the style that was first influenced by blues rock, but soon took the approach into longer-form, freakier and fuzzier modes – definitely the case here with all the album's wonderful guitar solos – driven by heavy drums, and topped by some searing vocals. There's definitely a Led Zeppelin vibe, but lots more going on too – and titles include "La Chance Sutil", "Hablan De Tiempos Mejores", "Tomame Como Soy", "Zapada Final", and "El Mago Del Tiempo". LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited edition of 500! Features a bonus single – with "Mil Opciones" and "Hoy Te Preguntaras".)

✨✧ VariousRock En Avandaro – Valle De Bravo ... CD
Orfeon (Mexico), 1972. Used ... Out Of Stock
An overview of some of the hippest Mexican rock of the early 70s – put together as a tribute to the country's first rock festival in 1971! Most of the work here is pretty hard edged – tunes with very tight guitars and a slightly bluesy undercurrent – kind of a Mexican equivalent of the Cream/Led Zeppelin/Deep Purple era of the UK – with a fair bit of English language lyrics on most tunes. A few of the rhythms are nicely tight, and almost funky at points – and some of the groups bring in some added horns, which creates almost a jazz rock vibe – especially on work by The Soul Masters, who are clearly our favorites here! The Soul Masters cuts show a dose of James Brown influence too – with some really romping rhythms and super tight horns on tracks that include "New Man", "Jenny My Love", "Libertad", and "I Feel I'm Losing You". Other groups and titles include "Di Por Que" and "Tal Vez" by The Love Army, "Roaming" and "Everyday Face" by La Fachada De Piedra, and "Buscando Alrededor" by Free Minds. CD
(Out of print, packaged in a great little LP style sleeve.)
