✨✧ Johnny CashAmerican VI – Ain't No Grave ... LP
American, 2010. Near Mint- ... $29.99
The sixth volume of American Recordings from Johnny Cash – recorded in the months between June's & Johnny's passing – produced by an increasingly reverent Rick Rubin and put together with care and consideration. Cash sounds justifiably weary on these late recordings, with songs chosen from the work of great friends, admirers and the Man In Black himself. It's the second posthumous set in the series, but it's truly good stuff, and certainly respectful of Johnny's astounding legacy. Includes "Ain't No Grave", "Redemption Song", "For The Good Times", "Satisfied Mind", "I Corinthians 15:55", "I Don't Hurt Anymore", "Cool Water", "Last Night A Stranger Had A Dream" and "Aloha Oe". LP, Vinyl record album
(180 gram pressing from 2014. Includes the printed inner sleeve.)

Johnny CashGreatest ... LP
Sun, 1959. Very Good+ ... $14.99 24.99
The fantastic early sound of the great Johnny Cash – captured here by Sun Records, who really did a great job of bringing out the rhythmic pulse in Johnny's music! As with his best early singles, the style here is very raw – romping guitar riffs next to the man's incredible deep voice – set up perfectly on the sorts of tunes that just seem to get better and better the more you give them a listen! Titles include "Luther's Boogie", "I Just Thought You'd Like To Know", "I Forgot To Remember To Forget", "Katy Too", "You Tell Me", "Just About Time", "You Win Again", "Thanks A Lot", "Get Rhythm", and "I Could Never Be Ashamed Of You". LP, Vinyl record album
(Heavy yellow label pressing with GB etch in a "Stereo" cover. Cover has light wear and a small split on the bottom seam.)

✨✧ Johnny CashJohnny Cash At Folsom Prison ... LP
Columbia, 1968. Very Good ... $29.99
One of the greatest live albums ever, and probably THE best album Johnny Cash ever recorded! In 1969 Cash had more angst than you could shake a stick at – he just kicked drugs, and he hadn't had a big hit in years, so his respectful and thoughtful empathy for the audience of inmates not only cemented his persona as the real deal, but carries an air of dizzying emotion throughout the set. Appropriately filled with his darkest tunes, Folsom is one of the few cases in which a live recording of a hitmakers catalog is stronger and more vital than the studio versions. Includes "Folsom Prison Blues", "Dark As A Dungeon", "Cocaine Blues", "25 Minutes To Go", "Orange Blossom Special", "The Long Black Veil", "Dirty Old Egg-Suckin' Dog", plus "Jackson" and "Give My Love To Rose" featuring June Carter. LP, Vinyl record album

Johnny CashJohnny Cash At San Quentin ... LP
Columbia, 1969. Very Good+ ... $24.99
A stunning live prison performance from the Man In Black, recorded in conjunction with a television special. Titles include "Starkville County Jail", "I Walk The Line", "Folsom Prison Blues", an incredible version of "Wanted Man", and what became the single off the LP, "A Boy Named Sue". LP, Vinyl record album
(Stereo 360 Sound pressing – 1A/1C. Cover has a bit staining & waviness on the bottom right corner, but looks great otherwise.)

✨✧ Johnny CashAmerican IV – Man Comes Around ... LP
American, 2002. Near Mint- 2LP ... Out Of Stock
Cash's fourth volume of stark, sparely-arranged studio recordings for producer/set list provider Rick Rubin. As Johnny gets on in the years his always haunting voice, like Bob Dylan's, is weighted by age, but the heavily-breathed delivery only adds to the ghostly quality of the increasingly dark tunes. With this fourth set in the series we're far past being surprised by the choices of material – this time Cash conjures up spiritual takes on Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus", Trent Reznor's "Hurt", Lennon/McCartney's "In My Life", and more traditional material like Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" and the eternally underrated Marty Robbins' "Big Iron". You can't forget that Cash's pen is still pretty sharp, too, as the really spooky imagery in the title track and others testify. The accompaniment includes the great Randy Scruggs, Beck/Tom Waits guitarist Smokey Hormel, Marty Stuart, Glen Campell, and backing vocals by Nick Cave and Fiona Apple. Another great one from the greatest! LP, Vinyl record album
(180 gram 2014 reissue. Includes the printed inner sleeves.)

✨✧ Johnny CashFabulous Johnny Cash ... LP
Columbia, 1959. Very Good ... Out Of Stock
Johnny's first LP for Columbia! His terse, spare Sun style is still in evidence here with a slightly more crisp and polished sound, but no less powerful thanks to that famous wobbly baritone. Johnny would soon start stretching out good and wide thanks to the full creative freedom Columbia provided, but you get nothing but the taught, rock solid early style here. Tracks include "One More Ride", "The Troubadour", "Pickin' Time", "Suppertime", "That's Enough", and "I Still Miss Someone". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Johnny CashJohnny Cash Sings Hank Williams ... LP
Sun, Late 50s. Very Good ... Out Of Stock
Johnny Cash masterfully dips into the Hank Williams songbook – and what we get from it is and excellent Sun LP in which one of the greatest forlorn voices in honky tonk/proto rock/country music history pays perfect tribute to the originator! This one not only includes Cash's raw, unfussy earlyish Sun style takes on Hank classics, but some of Johnny's own standards, and it's as high quality of a beginning-to-end listen as just about any in his Sun canon. Includes "I Can't Help It", "You Win Again", "Hey Good Lookin'", "Give My Love To Rose", "Come In Stranger", "Mean Eyed Cat", "Come In Stranger", "I Walk The Line", "I Could Never Be Ashamed Of You" and more. Columbia, 1969. Near Mint- ... $19.99
Dylan's wonderful foray into country rock – the great Nashville Skyline! He takes his voice into a strangely crooning arena that we hadn't heard from him before or since, kinda adding a mysterious vibe of the whole thing. Titles include a duet with Johnny Cash on "Girl From The North Country", plus "Lay Lady Lay", "Country Pie", "To Be Alone With You", and "One More Night". LP, Vinyl record album

Roy MiltonGreat Roy Milton – Roots Of Rock Vol 1 ... LP
Kent, Late 60s. Near Mint- ... $0.99 6.99
An obscure late 60s session that has R&B genius Roy Milton fronting a small group led by Johnny Otis, and featuring a young Shuggie Otis on guitar! The set's packaged in a "roots of rock" sleeve to cash in on the kids, but it's a pretty nice little set with a stoner R&B sound. Johnny wrote a number of tracks – like "Hush", "Whiskey Drinkin Woman", and "Charleston Boogie" – and the group reprises some of Roy's standards like "So Tired", "Early In The Morning", and "RM Blues". LP, Vinyl record album

Shel SilversteinBoy Named Sue & His Other Country Songs ... LP
RCA, 1969. Near Mint- ... $39.99
One of the weirdest records ever from Shel Silverstein – and that's saying a heck of a lot, given what a weirdo he is! The set was recorded hot on the heels of the big Johnny Cash recording of "Boy Named Sue" – and it features Shel singing that famous tune, plus a host of other original country material – all of which is quite different than the usual songs coming from Nashville in the 60s! Production was done by Chet Atkins – who must have flipped a wig recording this one – and Shel's raspy, nasally voice is surprisingly at home in the professional Nashville backings. The record's a great leftfield country relic from the 60s – and titles include "Boy Named Sue", "Dirty Ol Me", "Alimoney", "Someday's Here", "Time", "Comin After Jinny", and "Daylight Dreamer". LP, Vinyl record album
(Orange label stereo pressing with deep groove. Cover has a cut corner, light wear and aging, and some marks from sticker removal at the top right corner.)

✨✧ Gene VincentGene Vincent Rocks & The Blue Caps Roll ... LP
Capitol, 1958. Near Mint- ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Gene Vincent & The Blue Caps had a cleaner sound by the time they recorded these sessions for Capitol – comparable to the slightly less ragged & raw shift in tone Johnny Cash and Johnny Horton had after settling over at Columbia – but the re-configured Blue Caps still packed a wallop! At this point Gene's proving to be a worthy balladeer, but the group still kicks you're a** on half the tunes. Tracks include "Brand New Beat", "By The Light Of The Silvery Moon", "Frankie And Johnnie", "In My Dreams", "Flea Brain", "You Belong To Me", "Your Cheatin' Heart", "It's No Lie" and more. ✨✧ Dwight YoakamGuitars Cadillacs Etc Etc ... LP
Reprise, 1986. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
The legendary debut of Dwight Yoakam – a honky tonk classic delivered with inimitable swagger! It's not only one of the finest country albums of its decade, we'd honestly rank Guitars Cadillacs Etc Etc up there with best country albums ever. Really! The mid 80s isn't one of the best remembered eras in country music – even hardscrabble heroes like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson were fumbling around for the right balance of traditionalism and modernism at the dawn of the CD era – so there's no overstating what a huge breath of fresh air Yoakam was at time. He pays heartfelt homage to roots rock and honky tonk tradition, but he honed his craft in the LA club scene of the early 80s, giving his way with a classic sound an edge like no others at the time. A masterpiece. Titles include "South Of Cincinnati", "Bury Me", "Guitars Cadillacs", his killer version of Cash's "Ring Of Fire", "I'll Be Gone", "Miner's Prayer" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
