Laura Branigan gets some help here on arrangements from HaroldFaltermeyer – who makes things a bit funkier than you might expect – although still very much in the kind of poppy style he used famously on some big 80s soundtracks! The mode works well for Laura – whose approach is always on the soulful side of pop, but still filled here with all the sense of drama that made Branigan huge on the charts at the time. Titles include "Heart", "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow", "The Lucky One", "Self Control", and "Satisfaction". Titles include "The Lucky One (John Robie mix)", "The Lucky One (Jack White mix)", "Self Control (12" version)", and "Satisfaction (special dance mix)". LP, Vinyl record album
(US pressing, still sealed, but with a Special sticker obscuring a promo stamp under the shrink in back.)
Disco Fever was quite a disease in the late 70s – especially contagious if you happened to be recording for Casablanca Records! In this case, it doesn't do too much damage to The Sylvers, who'd been moving that way already on their Capitol Records – and it does give them the chance to work here with HaroldFaltermeyer, who handled all the arrangements on the record. All tracks are fast, done in the sing-song vocal mode that the group had been using on their pop hits from the mid 70s. The album was recorded in Munich, LA, and Milan – and titles include "Gimme Gimme Your Lovin", "Mahogany", "Dance Right Now", "I Feel So Good Tonight", and "Forever". LP, Vinyl record album
(Promo. Cover has a promo stamp, light wear, and a small trace of a price sticker.)
Iconic soundtrack to the 80s blockbuster, including "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins, "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, and the "Top Gun Anthem" by HaroldFaltermeyer and Steve Stevens. LP, Vinyl record album
(Original pressing. Includes the printed inner sleeve. Cover has light wear.)
A high-drama disco classic – one to rival even the power of "I Will Survive"! This classic duet was the "new" tune on Donna's 2LP Greatest Hits set at the end of the 70s – and is presented here in a super-long version that runs for nearly 12 minutes long, served up here with some nice touches from HaroldFaltermeyer and Giorgio Moroder! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Cover has light wear.)
