A stone funky LP of soulful grooves from Jamaica! Boris and crew are part of the rocksteady/early reggae years – but they've also got plenty of influences from American funk acts of the late 60s, as you'll hear on this very tasty set! The landmark cut on here is the group's excellent cover of Booker T & the MG's "Melting Pot" – done almost better than Booker's own version – and other cuts are a mix of 70s soul and reggae grooves, done with some nice bubbling organ.
