Onom Agemo & The Disco JumpersLiquid Love (180 gram pressing with download) ... LP
Agogo (Germany), 2017. New Copy ... $26.99 30.98
Timeless psychedelic dancefloor grooves from Berlin-based quintet Onom Agemo & The Disco Jumpers! Liquid Love has a pretty unique sound, blending danceable soul jazz and Afro Funk-inspired rhythms & winds with vintage organs & synths – making for a cool mix of moods! It's playful psych soul instrumentals at the core, but the synth tones give it pretty distinctive vibe overall. Includes "Liquid Love", "Opus", "Kurifuna", "The Disco Jumpers" and multi-part epic "Somebody" (Parts 1-4). LP, Vinyl record album

Madlib & OthersMadlib's Medicine Show Number 11 – Low Budget Hi Fi Music ... CD
Madlib Invazion, 2010. New Copy ... $5.99 15.98
Low Budget Hi Fi Music from Madlib – the eleventh entry in his epic Madlib's Medicine Show series – 28 tracks of hip hop unofficially dubbed the Dirty Demos! The set feature sample enriched instrumentals by Madlib as Loop Digga and collaborations with Strong Arm Steady, J Rocc, Madlib & Oh No as The Professionals, Guity Simpson, AG & Frank Nitt. It's great stuff, natch – finding Madlib in a straighter hip hop mode production wise – but straighter Madlib production has unexpected twists and turns! Loads of funky samples, some recognizable others otherworldly – and beats that range from dusty funk to dramatically soulful. Includes "The Sound Of Champions" (inst), "Charlie Hustle" by Strong Arm Steady, "Sam", "Snakes 101" by MED, "Girls" by J Rocc, "Love/Hate" (inst), "The Adventurs Of Soul Bra And Docta Dick'em Pts 1 & 2", "Hold Up" by The Professionals, "Thoughts Of An Old Flame" by Guilty Simpson and others. (Hip Hop, Deep Funk) CD

✨✧ Madlib & OthersMadlib's Medicine Show Number 12 – Raw Medicine – Madlib Remixes ... CD
Madlib Invazion, 2011. New Copy ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
The supposed conclusion in the madly epic Medicine Show series from Madlib – Number 12, and it's a hazy, funky, rawly brilliant batch of hip hop remixes from the mid 00s onward – 60+ minutes and 30+ unlisted tracks that's pretty much quintessential Madlib hip hop! We're not going to give away too many of the secrets here, it's best self-discovered – but you'll hear Madlib's unique style as applied to the rhymes of MCs who are famous, some stridently underground, some legendary, some still rising. Great stuff to conclude a surprisingly great series – we've long-loved the 'Lib, but we're really surprised out how masterfully he pulled off such a lengthy, hastily released series, while keeping the quality so high throughout! ✨✧ Throttle Elevator Music feat Kamasi WashingtonRetrorespective ... CD
Wide Hive, 2016. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Not a retrospective of the music of Throttle Elevator Music – as you might mistake from the title – but instead a fresh new album that features the group working tremendously with the mighty Kamasai Washington! Washington isn't just a guest, but a key member of the group – and he really helps to push forward that deepening sound they've developed since their first release – a huge evolution that only gets better when Kamasai's on board. Washington plays tenor on the record, and contributes songs and arrangements – and some of the vibe of the set is maybe a small combo take on territory he explored on The Epic album – proud and righteous, with a very uplifting spirit. Other group members include Erik Jekabson on flugelhorn and trumpet, Ava Mendoza on guitar, Matt Mongtomery on bass and piano, and Thomas McCree on drums – and producer Gregory Howe also contributes songs and arrangements. Titles include "Flux & Solder", "Liminality", "Playing The Alleyway", "February Drift", "Subtract Limited", and "Rapid Rotation". (Jazz, Deep Funk) CD
