Proof that one of France's greatest modern composers is still going strong – a whopping big
3CD set of recent work by the legendary Pierre Henry! The work here is as recent as 2007, and stretches back to the late 90s – and together, it represents the continued flowering of Henry's genius in the later years of his life
– a time when his music has been wonderfully rediscovered and embraced by a younger generation, thanks to both pop and hip hop samples. Many of the sounds here are quite abstract, and continue the flavor of Henry's early musique concrete experiments – often a bit spare, and with none of the remixology that's shown up on other collections of his work. Pieces include "Utopia", "Comme Une Symphonie Envoi A Jules Verne", "Impressions Sismiques", "Histoire Naturelle Ou Les Roues De La Terre", "Pulsations", and "Grande Toccata".
(Out of print. Includes original box, book and CD sleeves – all of which are in great condition!)
