Shipping Information

US Options . International Options . Customs

No matter which shipping method you choose, on the day your order is shipped, we will send you an email notice letting you know that your order has been shipped and is on its way to you.

US Options    Top . International Options . Customs

FedEx Ground: Usually the least expensive option for larger orders, and will arrive within 2 to 5 business days after the day we ship your order. Your package will be trackable as it makes its way from Dusty Groove® to you.

Priority Mail: All Priority Mail orders are shipped with Delivery Confirmation. For small orders, the price may be cheaper than FedEx. We also use Priority Mail for all orders to P.O. Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO addresses. Please note that although the Post Office advertises a 2 to 3 day delivery time for Priority Mail, this time is an estimate only - and actual delivery time can vary by several days.

First Class Mail: For orders of 1-2 CDs. First Class Mail will not be available for most multiple CD sets. The delivery time may be one or two days longer than with Priority Mail.

Media Mail: A lower cost option from the Post Office, especially for larger orders.
Please Note: Delivery time for Media Mail will be 2-4 days longer than with FedEx.
Mail delivery includes delivery confirmation. Media Mail is only available for orders of records, CDs, DVDs, videotapes, books and magazines.

FedEx 2nd Day: A nicely priced option that will arrive 2 business days after the package is shipped from our office (not including Saturday, Sunday or Postal Holidays.) The ultimate speed of delivery depends on how efficient things are on your end. (For example, if you're not home to sign for the package on the 2nd day, it will take one more day.) In rare occasions, this service might take one more day - due to weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control - but we find it to be very reliable, and so do our customers!

FedEx Next Day: Will arrive before the close of business on the day after we ship the package from our office (not including Saturday, Sunday or Postal Holidays.) Again, delivery time might be slowed by circumstances on your end - so be sure to have the goods sent to a location where there will be someone there to sign for them!

International Options     Top . US Options . Customs

Nearly all of our international orders (except for Canada) are handled by FedEx. We've found that their service is top-notch, and in most cases, the prices are lower than what you'd pay for US Post Office AirMail or surface mail! All orders to Canada are shipped by US Post Office AirMail.

FedEx International: Fast priority shipping. Handled by FedEx all the way to your door, and trackable all the way. Delivery time is about 1 week (or less) to most countries in the world. Nicely priced, too, for packages over 5 or 6 pounds.

International Economy Plus: This service is like post office airmail, but the goods are better handled. The package is flown to your country, then handed over to your national postal service, who makes the final delivery to your door. Delivery time is 1-4 weeks to most parts of the globe, although it may get there sooner.

DHL/Airborne Express: Fast priority shipping. Delivery time is about 1 week (or less) to most countries in the world.

Customs/Duties     Top . US Options . International Options .

If you are an international customer, your package may be subject to duties when it arrives in your country. Unfortunately, we have no way of predicting these charges, as they differ from country to country. These charges are a matter between you and your government, and you are responsible for them, since you are a citizen of your country, and are importing the goods yourself. Further information on this matter may be attained from your local customs office.

You should also be aware that some local customs offices may charge a "handling fee" in addition to the duties. Any postage price you pay us covers the full cost of shipping the goods to you. However, if there are customs problems, we have heard of cases in which handling fees are assessed, and then billed onto the customer. Again, we have no control over these, since we are a US company, and the matter is between you and your government.

We cannot list the goods as a "gift" on the customs form. We are a commercial institution, and even if you are giving the goods to someone as a gift, you have still paid us for the goods.
