A rare non-Blue Note session from The Three Sounds – recorded in the early 60s for Verve, and really the group's only straight album for that label! The style here is similar to the Blue Note sides – with Gene Harris firmly at the helm of the group on piano – hitting that fluidly soulful approach to the keys that made him an instant standout from the earliest albums of his career.
