A killer – one of the greatest tracks ever by the Lost Generation, and recorded after their more famous years at Brunswick! The track has a great gimmick – based around the Mission Impossible gimmick, in case you couldn't guess from the title – but that's only on the intro, which starts with a very cool spoken part, then drifts into a harmony vocal that would make Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes weep! The cut snakes along in a dope harmony style for both parts – and really makes us wish these guys had recorded an album during the same period!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

M&M, 1981. Very Good
An obscure group – but one with a great modern soul approach! "Everytime I See A Pretty Lady" is a nice bit of midtempo modern soul from their classic Gemini Rising LP, and "Something Special" is a bit more uptempo, but still pretty much in the modern soul vein! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Can You Get To That/Mud Wind
Wand, 1973. Very Good
Sweet funk from one of the 70s greatest groups! "Can You Get To That" is an excellent clavinet groover – hard hitting, with a wicked intro, and some really catchy vocals that have a hard-slamming hook that rolls into one of the best bass/keyboard parts you'll hear this week!
