Mod grooves from The Satin Chaps – a group that's heavy on organ lines and horns, and who play in a soulful 60s groove! The cuts are mostly instrumental, and they cook along strongly with a sweet blend of sounds from the groove – horns that pack plenty of punch, but which are really sent home by the deft work on guitar and keyboards – the latter of which mostly comes across with a vintage Hammond-style feel! All cuts are originals, and mighty fresh too – different than the usual funk combo mode – and titles include "Funky Matador", "Cry Baby", "Dry Rub", "Jump Shout Shake", "Wet Leather", "Catch On Quick", "Hot Chocolate", and "Pigtail Park". A massive look at the music of Greyboy – one that features classic cuts, previously unreleased tracks, and rare mixes as well! Back in the early 90s, when most of the few funky records coming out of the west coast were pretty darn weak, Greyboy really caught our ears with his raw, stripped-do ... LP, Vinyl record album
