Sweet soulful work from Plunky Nakabinde – a set that has him hitting a different mode than his earlier sounds with Oneness Of Juju – yet still working in a great criss-crossing of styles throughout! The vibe here is righteous early 90s soul and jazz – blended together on the slightly smooth tip, with a main focus on Plunky's reed solos – but also featuring some nice vocals on a few numbers too. There's definitely some rootsy elements in the rhythms, although often carried out in electronic ways – and the range of material is a great testament to Plunky's growth over the years. Titles include "African Sunset", "A New World Order", "Knocking At Your Door", "Afrocentricity", "One World One Music", "Get Here", "Quiet Storm", and "Funk Loose & Fancy Free".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
