Excellent work by Glenn Jones – even if the record is only a 5 track EP! The set is one of those strange little records issued in the early 80s, when the music industry was trying to figure out a way to make money between the ever-escalating cost of the LP and the less-popular 12" single – but it easily packs as much punch as most other full length soul records from the same time. Glenn's incredible in the set – showing that he's one of the few really strong soul talents to emerge in the 80s, with a voice that's perfect for tight-grooving tunes and for mellower ballads. There's a fair bit of keyboard work on the set, and Glenn's voice holds strong in a great way – working wonderfully on titles that include "Everybody Loves A Winner", "Thank You For The Love", "I Am Somebody", and "Keep On Doing". Also features a bonus instrumental version of "I Am Somebody".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

The second album by this legendary 70s funk combo – best known as Herbie Hancock's backing band, but sounding great here on their own. Totally great – and a record you probably know nothing about! The album's one of the greatest ever to come out of the Hotlanta scene of the 70s – a tight batch of funk tracks with a heck of a lot of guitar. The set was produced by Tommy Stewart, of "Bump and Hustle" fame ... LP, Vinyl record album

Ahhhhh . . . By this point, George Clinton and the P-Funk team were on top of the world! The record is a masterful dose of slick mothership jamming – perfectly woven together with that tightly compressed style that really served Clinton's production work well. The tracks are long, but never ... LP, Vinyl record album
