Heavy, yet spacey Afro Funk from Rob "Roy" Raindorf – brilliant, propulsive and indeed, super funky Funky Rob Way – a blend of tried-and-true Afro Funk and cosmic dancefloor impulses! Rob was trained at the piano in Benin, and gigged with legendary combos such as the Orchestre Poly-Rythmo and the Black Santiagos before recording this truly innovative material in 1977. Raw drums, JB influenced vocals, electric guitar and most fascinatingly, some woozy, strange and cosmic keyboards flavor the sound. Rob doesn't have a heck of a long recording history, but this rare set is really amazing! Includes 6 tracks, mostly running from the 5 to 8 minute mark. "Funky Rob Way", "Forgive Us All", "Boogie On", "Just One More Time", "Your Kiss Stole Me Away" and "More".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
