A nice little live set from Nina – offered up here with no dates or location notes, but sounding a lot like some of her best 60s live sets for the Coolpix label. Backing is by a small group, and although the sound quality is a bit echoey, the album has a dark quality that brings out the best in Nina's vocals. Titles include "Zungo", "One More Sunday In Savannah", "For All We Know", "Nobody", and "When I Was In My Prime".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Colpix, 1964. Very Good+
A fitting title, as Nina's always mixed in a bit of folksy influences with her jazz – increasingly so at this point in her career, as she was opening up her bag a bit to include traditional songs of pride, protest, and despair. Stars In Our Eyes
Capitol, 1961. Very Good+
A rare one from The Four Freshmen – an album that almost never turns up on anymore, and some of their best work of the 60s! The group's working in a tight jazzy mode – layering their harmonies with arrangements that are a bit more sophisticated than some of their earlier pop, but which ... LP, Vinyl record album
