A third great bag of boogaloo – and easily one of the hippest Latin series we've ever carried! As with other volumes, this batch of tracks is dug from the deepest underground of the late 60s east coast Latin scene – the smaller labels that lived in the shadows of Fania, Tico, and Alegre – imprints like Speed, Ghetto, and a few others – all serving up rougher-edged Latin than you might know from the hits! The sound here is often in the best Latin Soul or boogaloo mode – but there's often some rougher edges that make the tracks particularly interesting – ways of approaching the grooves that are quite unique, and a mix of vocal and production techniques that never fail to blow our minds! Titles include "Soul Mambo" by Bruce Cloud, "So Good" by Milton Zapata, "Already Satisfied" by Tony Middleton & Bobby Matos, "Rainy Night All Over" by Solid State, "Lay An OZ On Me Baby" by Latin Blues Band, "Morty's Harlem" by Moon People, "Wabble With Boogaloo" by Orquesta Olivieri, and "Riki Chi" by La Orquesta Boogaloo.  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
