Not the kind of album you'd expect from the Chi-Lites, but it's 1983 after all. Forget sweet soul for a second and ease into a fat roller skating type groove for the album's great title track, "Bottom's Up". The rest of the record follows along in a commercial 80s groove vein too, and other numbers include "Bad Motor Scooter", "I Just Wanna Hold You", "Making Love", "Touch Me", "You Take The Cake", and "I Love". (Cover has light wear and a cut corner.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

JB's wildest album, with a crazy cover that shows him running away from the devil, and great gatefold inner photo with him standing amidst a bunch of declarations of "Hell". The record is a double album filled with lots of different styles from James' funky bag. Nicer bits include " ... LP, Vinyl record album

Excellent work from this smooth Chicago vocal group! The album may well be the best the group ever recorded – and it features some stellar ballad work produced with a nice spacey tone, almost in a Rose Royce mellow mode – by Jerry Butler's Fountain Productions team and by Clarence ...
