Brooklyn Dreams recorded in Munich and LA, but the album's got a surprisingly soulful club feel that almost matches its New York reference! Teutonic disco maestro Thor Baldursson handled the arrangements on the record, and we were a bit suspicious about it at first – but apart from a few colder electric keyboard parts, the main groove here focuses on the vocals of the male trio – and they trade leads and harmonize in a way that's clearly inspired by lots of east coast groups from earlier years. Titles include "Hot Lovin", "Too Much For The Lady", "Take Me Back", "Your Love's So Good To Me", "Love Love's Desire", and "One & Only". (In the embossed cover, which has some light wear & a promo stamp.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

A later bit of Philly disco – recorded at Sigma Sound studios with really soaring production from Tom Moulton – and some surprising help on a number of tracks from a young Arthur Baker! Ahh, the dancefloor soul perfection of the beautiful Donna Summer – and classic late 70s production by Giorgio Morodor and Pete Bellotte – songs that are played often, even to this day, but will never be played out! Got To Give It Up
Magic Disc, 1978. Near Mint-
Long funky tracks – a bit disco, but with more of a club funk groove, if that makes any sense. Nat Dove handled the arrangements for the album, and vocals are by the Dovetones – in kind of a minimal disco-chorus sort of style. Tracks include the two part versions of "Got To Give ... Excellent work from this smooth Chicago vocal group! The album may well be the best the group ever recorded – and it features some stellar ballad work produced with a nice spacey tone, almost in a Rose Royce mellow mode – by Jerry Butler's Fountain Productions team and by Clarence ... One of the Last Poets greatest albums – and one of their most sophisticated as well!
