A great little cut from Edwin Birdsong – an uptempo groover cut for Philly International in the years after he parted company with Roy Ayers – but oddly, a track that's very much in the smooth clubby groove that Roy was using at the same time. The track's got a strong bouncy beat – and a warm jazzy finish that makes it very nice! (White label promo.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Ahhhhhhhhhh . . . Freak Out! What can we say? The cut's a monster – silly to be sure, but still with a choppy dancefloor groove that gets 'em every time! Nile Rogers, if you'd only stuck to guitar riffing like this, you'd have become President! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Ike's big attempt to cash in on the dancefloor scene, and a pretty nice disco track with rhythm arrangements by Isaac Hayes. The long version is nearly 13 minutes long, and it's got a nice little spoken bit! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Bass pedals, midtempo rhythms, and a sublime early 80s groove – a cut that crossed over big but still sounds great today – and a wonderful mix of styles that's easily one of the standouts from the time! The keys are electric, but never too cold – and Junior's vocals on the hook ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Forget the hokey concept of this one, and dig the grooves! This single's got two sublime spacey disco cuts, with solid Philly instrumentalizing, all directed by Vince Montana, who arranged, produced, and conducted the session! 12-inch, Vinyl record

We're not sure that the whole ancient mystical concept of the LP really worked, but on "Cross My Heart", the first single, Inspectah Deck & GZA keeps Killah Priest sorta grounded here on earth. Production by Tru Master. 12-inch, Vinyl record
