One of Cugie's more popular albums – and a record that has him re-recording older hits for the hi-fi generation. There's not that much hi and fi on the record, as the groove's pretty much in the older style – but the newer recordings were done in a stereo setting, which makes for a bit better sound than some of the originals. Titles include "Tico Tico", "Jalousie", "Dengoza", "Guitara Romana", "Miami Beach Rhumba", "Brazil", "Besame Mucho", and "Orchids In The Moonlight". (6 eye stereo pressing, with deep groove. Cover has some ring & edge wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Verve, 1966. Very Good-
Killer material, and one of Willie's best-ever albums for Verve! The album's filled with groovy numbers that hit the good mix of soul and Latin that was coming out of the New York scene at the time – and Willie delivers all of it with a tight jazzy sound that works great with the titles. ... Solid State, 1969. Very Good- Gatefold
Stone lost Latin funk! This one's Candido's rarest – and it's a killer batch of conga-heavy grooves, recorded in the late 60s for Solid State, and featuring a very groovy set of mod Latin arrangements by Joe Cain. The band features organ, guitar, bass, horns, and some upfront conga solos ... LP, Vinyl record album
