Nice early stuff from El Coco – with more of a funky sound than later work! "Let's Get it Together" is a nice club groover, stretched out to 6 minutes here – with some great keyboards drifting in and out of midtempo beats – almost in a P&P sort of mode, but a bit more classy overall!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

"Le Spank" is probably the most successful track ever by this Rinder/Lewis side project – and for good reason, too! The cut's got a cool moogy groove that pops across the top nicely, a bit sparer than the rest of its disco contemporaries, and with a catchiness that's undeniable! ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

2 funky club tracks from the late 70s Chicago scene – both of them nice and long! "DJ Devilish" is a 9 minute suite built up from a bumping bassline and some nicely strutting horns – plus both straight soul harmony vocals, and some weirder "devil" vocals too. There' ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

2 tracks from Cheryl's Preppie album – a sweet little early 80s groover, with plenty of electro touches! The Beatnuts, minus Al Tariq this time, come back with "Do You Believe?" a nice one that reminds us of the hits from their glory days. The production on "Gimme Tha Ass", with the classic Philly sound "Forget Me Nots" sample, sounds almost like they're going for a ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
