Killer indie R&B material from Louis – recorded during his best period in the 50s, and featuring a hard rocking set of gems that don't always show up on some of his other "best of" compilations. Titles include "Fat Back & Corn Likker", "Yeah Yeah Baby", "The Dipper", "Whiskey Do Your Stuff", "Dollar Down", "Gal, You Need A Whippin", and "Put Some Money In the Pot". (French reissue pressing from the early 80s. Cover has an unglued top seam.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

The second album by this legendary 70s funk combo – best known as Herbie Hancock's backing band, but sounding great here on their own. The album's much more of a solid soul effort than the first one – which was great, but felt more like Herbie had stepped out of the studio for a minute ... LP, Vinyl record album
