Adderley Brothers In New Orleans
LP (Item 475608) Milestone, 1962 — Condition: Used
An excellent early Nat Adderley record that has the funky trumpet player groovin' in the company of a number of bright young players from New Orleans, including Nat Perrilliat on tenor, Ellis Marsalis (yes, that one) on piano, and James Black on drums. Sam Jones plays funky bass, and brother Cannonball joins on on alto for a nice set of groovers that includes "In The Bag", "Sister Wilson", "Low Brown", and "New Arrival". Nice stuff, and we don't really see this one that much these days. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
