LP, Vinyl record album

4.80 11

An excellent album of smooth modern soul, with Sylvia's sexy vocals in the front, and some nice mellow grooves behind her! The LP includes the great cut "Sweet Stuff", a sample cut, with a very slow funky groove – plus a very raunchy cover of "You Sure Love To Ball", one that would make Marvin Gaye blush! Other tracks include "Taxi", "He Don't Ever Loose His Groove", and "LA Sunshine". (Includes the lyric sleeve. Cover has a cutout notch.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Avco, 1972. Very Good-
Landmark harmony soul from The Stylistics – a set that's every bit as wonderful as their debut, with the kind of sweet, soulful sound that got played over and over and over and over again back in the day! The album's got a subtle sort of power, though – one that lies not only in its ... LP, Vinyl record album

Janus, 1972. Very Good- Gatefold

Doing The Dixie Twist
Tru Sound/Prestige, Early 60s. Very Good-
Quite a groovy early album from King Curtis – one that's got a strange little gimmick, but one that works wonderfully! The "dixie twist" theme means that King's taking older standards associated with the south, and playing them in a fast-crackling, highly rhythmic style that has ... LP, Vinyl record album
