An obscure later album by The Chi-Lites – a mix of smooth modern soul styles, very different than the usual southern soul grooves you'd expect from the Excello label. The group's in fine form harmony-wise, and the best cuts feature some mellow stripped-down production that's sort of an update of the hits of earlier years. Titles include "The Only One for Me", "We're Right For Each Other", "Love Your Way Through", "You Won't Be Lonely For Long", "Stay A Little Longer", "All My Life", and "Getting Back At You". (Cover has light wear in one corner, but is nice overall.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Atlantic, 1972. Near Mint-
Wicked electric funk from Young Holt Unlimited – and a real departure from the sound of their 60s albums, and a step into a groove that's very 70s-styled overall! The album's heavy on Fender Rhodes – played not just by group member Ken Chaney, but also by a young Bobby Lyle – ... LP, Vinyl record album
