One of the classics, and an album that's filled with a sense of majesty and power that will knock you dead – despite the stupid cover of Stevie sitting on a hill, playing in the dirt! By this point, Stevie knows he's on top of the world – and he's honing the sophisticated experiments of the previous few albums into a tightly woven pop sound that would pay Motown a huge dividend for letting him take chances with his music! Includes the big hits "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" and "Superstition", plus the amazing mellow synthesizer classic "You've Got It Bad Girl" and the fuzzy funky "Maybe Your Baby". Great stuff, and one that won't let you down! (In the braille cover, with light wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Motown, 1963. Very Good
Early work from Stevie Wonder – recorded when he was only 11 years old, but already a whiz on a number of instruments! The grooves here definitely live up to the "jazz soul" promised in the title – as most numbers are instrumental, with a soul jazz groove that's really ... LP, Vinyl record album

Tamla, 1974. Very Good Gatefold
A bit smoother and more focused than some of Stevie's earlier work from the 70s – perhaps because he'd been having some chart success with his slicker numbers, but still a pretty groundbreaking batch of grooves that must have been awesome to hear when it first came out! Motown, Late 60s/Mid 70s. Sealed 3LP Gatefold
A great set of Stevie's best tracks for Motown! 3 LPs deep, with 40 tracks in all, mostly from the late 60s, with a handful of numbers from the early 70s, including a few goodies that are getting tougher to find on wax. Includes "Hey Love", "Angie Girl", "Yester-Me, ... LP, Vinyl record album

Valerie Simpson
Tamla, 1972. Near Mint-
Although Valerie Simpson's on her own as the singer here, Nick Ashford was in the studio for most of the set, helping Valerie produce and write most of the cuts on the album. The record's got kind of a hip soul sound that's more LA than Motown – and although we're not always sure it works ... LP, Vinyl record album

Polydor, 1973. Very Good 2LP Gatefold
A masterpiece of funky soul – and one of the greatest albums of the early 70s! It all comes together on this one – funk, soul, politics, and production – and the record is still one of the clearest examples of James Brown's genius that you'll ever find!
