Blazing Horns/Tenor In Roots
CD (Item 76058) Blood & Fire (UK), Late 70s — Condition: New Copy
2 darn hard-to-find albums from the blazing horn of the smoking tenor man for the Skatalites, Tommy McCook. Glen Brown and Yabby You take over production duties on these fabulous instrumental reggae sides, featuring one one of the most oft heard horns in Jamaican music. "Blazing Horns" was produced by Vivian 'Yabby You' Jackson and features McCook over a selection of choice Yabby roots rhythms. Also in this package is the impossibly rare 'white label' pressing featuring Sir Tommy blowing over some classic Glen Brown rhythms. With the addition of the Bunny Lee produced 12" of 'Riding West", this is a feast for lovers of reggae saxophone and roots rhythms! Other tracks include "Tears Of Love", "Jamaican Place", "Tommy's Mood", "More Music", "Lamb's Bread", "Ites Of Zion", "South Side Feeling", "Harry Meet Tommy", "Far Over Yonder" and more. 20 tracks in all. 75 minutes worth of music! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
