Weapons Of Peace
LP (Item 4378) Playboy, 1976 — Condition: Sealed
A tight little ensemble soul group from Chicago – with an approach that's clearly influenced by Earth, Wind, & Fire, although the group also seems to be trying for more of a pop easy soul sound at times. Funky 45 artists Lonell Dantzler is on keyboards and Finis Henderson on vocals – and although most of the cuts on the album aren't that great, the record does include the excellent "City", a strident groover with a wonderful harmony hook that keeps going long after the track is over! Other cuts include "This Life", "Growin Stronger", and "Roots/Many Rains Ago". (Shrinkwrap has a few tears.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
