Shakara/London Scene (LP sleeve edition)
CD (Item 507395) Knitting Factory, 1971/1972 — Condition: New Copy
A real killer of an Afro Funk set – a CD that brings together 2 sparkling moments from Fela's early career! The Shakara album is a longtime classic, and features 2 extended jams – "Lady" and "Shakara" – that are both tight straight-ahead funky groovers with a nice nice sound. London Scene has a number of shorter tracks – like "Buy Africa", "Who're You", and "Fight To Finish" – that Fela recorded in London during his brief attempt to storm that city's recording scene. The tracks have a slightly different sound than usual, and feature some nice tight arrangements. 7 tracks in all! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
