Jimmy Reed Is Back

Add Item to Want List
LP (Item 600429) Roots/TK, 1976 — Condition: New Copy

An unusual comeback album for Jimmy Reed – as you might guess from the title – his first in many years, and recorded in a really laidback, almost classic style for TK's short-lived Roots subsidiary! Tracks are all rootsy and very bluesy – with Jimmy on vocals, harmonica, and guitar – and just a slight bit of rhythm behind him. Production keeps things very down-home and rough-edged – and titles include "Ain't No Time For Fussin", "Keep The Faith", "Tribute To A Friend", "Turn Me On Like A TV", "Knocking On Your Door", and "I'm Leaving" – all originals by Reed.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
