CD (Item 582261) 17 North Parade, Late 70s/1980s — Condition: New Copy

A deep collection of the Black Roots recordings of Sugar Minott – concentrating largely on the great stuff he produced from the late 70s onward, after he left Studio One to set up his own Black Roots and Youth Productions labels! It's great stuff, particularly in the earlier years, which found him working nicely in the lover's rock style as well as plenty of stellar dancehall. Lots of excellent material here, much of it self-produced – plus some classic numbers produced by Niney, Sly & Robbie and others. Includes "My Love Is True", "Hard Time Pressure", "River Jordan", "Rome", "Ghetto Youths", "Loving Jah", "Man Hungry", "Simple As That", "Lovers Rock", "You've Lost It", "Sandy", "Old King Cole", "International Herb", "Rub A Dub Sound", "African Girl", "All Kinda People", "Penny For My Song", "Show Me That You Love Me", "Buy Off The Bar" and more. 36 tracks on 2CDs plus a bonus DVD: Live In Japan 1986.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
