An even better set than the last one from Mr Day – an album filled with some incredibly groovy grooves – tunes that are almost as heavy on 60s influences as they are on 70s funk! In fact, the set almost takes us back to some of the great retro groovers we enjoyed back in the mid 90s – when cats were freely experimenting with the past, and weren't always trying to be as accurate with their sound as they were trying to come up with something new, based on some great influences from decades back! This album's definitely got that vibe – a great love of the past, but a strong focus on tunefully fresh grooves – handled with a joyous quality that's bound to get Mr Day the global attention they deserve.
