Drop It
CD (Item 600886) No Business (Lithuania), 2011 — Condition: New Copy
Subtle sounds from the NuClear trio of reedman Liudas Mockunas – a player who really hits some amazing modes in the set! Liudas plays tenor, soprano, and bass saxophones – but often blows with this fluid sort of sound – one that moves forward in these almost circular waves of sound – similar to the continuous breathing modes that other players might use, but with a real sense of texture too – often so much that the noteforms are woven together in these tapestries that almost feel more electric than acoustic – at least in the way they come across as waves of sound! Other players include Dimitrij Golovanov on piano and Marijus Aleksa on drums – who bring in more energy as the set moves on – and titles include "Prelude Variation 1", "The Dark Side/The Bright Side", "How To Earn Money", "Drop It", and "The Cursed". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
