Hear To Tempt You
LP (Item 452697) Atlantic, 1977 — Condition: Used
A goofy title, but a great little record – one that pairs the sublime vocals of The Temptations with the Philly groove production trio of Ron Baker, Norman Harris, and Earl Young! The move to Philly wasn't an unusual one for most groups of the 70s – but it works especially well here, by letting the Temps still open up with their amazing vocal range – while Baker, Harris, and Young help focus the groove with a great deal more energy! The tunes often have a soaring, almost spiritual approach to club – uplifting the vocals wonderfully, and overflowing the grooves with the best warmth and soul that Philly had to offer in the 70s. Titles include "Think For Yourself", "In A Lifetime", "Can We Come & Share In Love", "She's All I've Got", "Snake In The Grass", "It's Time For Love", and "Let's Live In Peace".
