A relatively ambitious Christmas album from Gladys Knight & The Pips -- done in a rich style that's clearly meant to be more seriously reverent of the Holiday than their usual soul hits of the time! The best numbers here are the ones that are the most laidback -- letting the group drift through old favorites without the overblown style that mars a few of the other tunes.
