Taste Of Honey – Live In New Orleans 1977
CD (Item 31363) Night Train International, 1977 — Condition: New Copy
Pretty raw stuff from New Orleans pianist/vocalist James Booker! The 2CD set features live work that was recorded in 1977 at a small club in the Crescent City – a very spare date that has Booker playing and singing with no other accompaniment! The music's a great way to hear James in a really spare, stripped-down setting – one that shows the deep charm he always had when playing live, as you'll hear from his clever patter with the audience – and their clearly rapt response. Some titles are done in more than one version, and titles include "Classified", "Let Them Talk", "Taste Of Honey", "Papa Was A Rascal", "Junko Partner", and "Make A Better World". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
