One of the few recordings from Eddie Gale's revival stretch of a decade ago – a live date recorded in Oakland, with a feel that's as stretched-out and spiritual as his best material of the 70s! The large vocal chorus of his Blue Note records aren't here – but the smaller group provides some equally great fire – thanks to reeds from Prince Lasha and John Gruntfest, violin from Mimi Dye, piano from Will Nichols, bass from Jeff Hector, and drums from Donald Robinson.
