Play It Straight
LP (Item 452952) Sire, 1985 — Condition: Used
The second album from Laid Back – a set issued a few years after their classic "White Horse", but still a nice batch of electro-tinged pop! The sound here is a bit more focused and hook-heavy than before – almost trying to compete with British intrusions to the American pop charts in the 80s – although with a sound that's a few years too late to make that happen. The sound here is more in the mode of Depeche Mode or Human League than before – and titles include "Abu Dhabi", "Play It Straight", "Ice Cream Baby", "White Man", and "One Life". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
