Stunning – and also completely hard to describe! This rare sound library album from Italy is centered around strange avant garde vocal performances, but the voices on the album are tied together in a beautifully atmospheric way that reminds us of some of the sparer Morricone soundtracks, and of some of the stranger soundscapes on the Italian soundtracks that have been reissued over the past few years. The voices are more subdued than you'd expect, and wash around the mix in waves of sound – while over the top, raspy guitar solos, or spare orchestral passages twist the voices around in weird ways. We're hardly doing this justice – but it's a very compelling album with a sound that's different than any of the other Italian sound library albums we've stocked.
