Here, he starts out with a brief history of the group, but then really gets into the nitty gritty of Smile, its ongoing string of promises and failures, and ultimate under-realized musical genius. The book ends with a brief tale of Smile's eventual release in the 21st Century -- and also features a great appendix with original illustrations from the album's booklet!
