CD (Item 606089) Digitmovies (Italy), 1970 — Condition: New Copy

Human sacrifice never sounded so groovy – thanks to a wicked score from Carlo Savina, who really knocks it out of the park with this one! The leadoff theme is jaunty, bouncy, and almost more of a mod 60s Italian number – and the score that follows often has some other groovy touches, mixed with passages that bring in a bit of jazz, and a few more exotic elements too – the last of which are more of what you'd expect for a horror soundtrack of this nature, yet never seem to dominate too much. There's a great sense of pacing going on here – a shifting of themes as things move on, and a blend of tighter elements with some rougher percussion that almost feels like the demonic ready to break loose! Reissued with a whopping 20 tracks – and some sublime remastering. (Limited edition.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
