Shearing On Stage

Add Item to Want List
CD (Item 592993) Capitol (Japan), 1958 — Condition: New Copy

A great set from George Shearing – recorded live, with a lot more of a tight jazz style than some of his higher-concept sets for Capitol in the late 50s! The group here is wonderful – with vibes from Emil Richards, guitar and harmonica from Toots Thielemans, percussion from Armando Peraza, and bass from Al McKibbon – all players who manage to make things groove with a bit of an edge, while still respecting that classic Shearing sound! Titles include "Caravan", "Little Niles", "On The Street Where You Live", "Nothing But The Best", and "Little White Lies".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
